Support the day-to-day operations that keep a pre-revenue biotech running: tracking deliverables and deadlines across active and prospective grants, organizing compliance and reporting documents, and helping coordinate timelines across the research, fabrication, and business teams. Good fit for someone organized and detail-oriented who wants to see how a startup's funding pipeline actually gets built, not just the science.
Help translate Selene's technical progress into the written case for funding it: draft and edit sections of NSF, NIH, and foundation grant proposals, summarize literature relevant to biofilm disruption and microrobotics, and assist with figures and supporting data for submissions. A strong fit for a student who enjoys scientific writing and wants hands-on exposure to how early-stage biotech research gets funded.
Work alongside the fabrication team on building and testing Selene's microscale devices: running quality-control checks on fabricated components, documenting process parameters, and helping troubleshoot yield and repeatability issues on the bench. Best suited to a student with (or pursuing) hands-on microfabrication, materials, or MEMS experience who wants direct lab time on a real device pipeline.
Support Selene's fundraising pipeline by researching relevant investors, accelerators, and non-dilutive funding programs in medtech and nanorobotics, helping maintain outreach trackers, and assisting with materials for investor conversations. A good fit for a student interested in biotech finance, venture capital, or startup strategy who wants to see fundraising from the inside.
Help validate where Selene's technology fits in the market: research potential clinical partners and customers, support outreach for discovery interviews, and synthesize findings into insights the team can act on. Suited to a student curious about how early medtech startups find product-market fit before a product exists.
Shape how Selene talks about its science: draft content for the website, LinkedIn, and other channels, help translate technical progress into material a general audience can follow, and support the visual and written assets behind the company's public presence. A good fit for a student who writes clearly about technical topics and wants experience in scientific communication or biotech marketing.
Design and iterate on mechanical components and test fixtures supporting Selene's microrobotics platform, from CAD models through prototyping and bench testing. Best suited to a student with CAD and prototyping experience (CNC, 3D printing, or similar) who wants ownership over hardware that actually gets built and tested, not just modeled.
Build the visuals that explain how Selene's nanorobots work: 3D models and animations of the platform's mechanism, diagrams for grant and investor materials, and visual assets for the website and presentations. A strong fit for a student with 3D modeling or animation skills (Blender or similar) who wants their work used in real scientific and fundraising materials.
